Power and influence without trying

Power and influence.

There are people in this world who thrive on it, who want to be in charge, want to be the boss, who want to dictate how things are done and how people act. Usually they are the CEO’s of large companies. Sometimes they are the people who simply started their own businesses and often they are the heirs who take over a business after grandpa or daddy or both have made the business a success.

Then there are those people who get that little taste of authority and let it go to their heads such as TSA agents, neighborhood watch folks, crossing guards, and airline attendants. The wisdom of Rose

The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn’t already know. I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being.
